Privacy policy

I collect as little as I can, use it only to do the work you ask for, and never sell it. This policy follows South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What I collect, and why

When you message me on WhatsApp or Instagram, or use the form on this site (it opens WhatsApp; nothing is saved on the site): your name, number, brand and what you write. I use it to answer you and to do the work.
When you pay: PayFast collects your name, email and payment details on its own page, under its own privacy policy. I receive your name, email, the amount and a payment reference. For theme downloads, this site keeps a short order record (the theme, amount, payment status, PayFast reference, number of downloads and dates) for 90 days so your download link works. It doesn’t hold your name or card details.
When I set up your store: your logo, photos, product details and access to your Shopify store. While I work, I may see your own customers’ details in your Shopify admin. For those, you’re the responsible party and I only act on your instructions: I use them only to do the work and never copy them out of Shopify.
When you visit this site: it’s hosted by Cloudflare, which handles technical details such as your IP address and browser to deliver the site and keep it safe. The fonts load from Google Fonts. There are no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Only the services that make this work: PayFast (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google (fonts), Meta (WhatsApp and Instagram) and Shopify (your store). Some of them store information outside South Africa, under their own data-protection rules. I never sell or rent your information, and I don’t send marketing unless you ask for it.

How long I keep it

Messages and project files: for as long as we work together and a reasonable time after, in case you need help later. Payment records: 5 years, because the tax rules ask for that. Theme order records on the site: 90 days. I keep it secure and delete what’s no longer needed.

Your rights

Ask what information I have about you, and get a copy.
Ask me to correct it or delete it (unless the law says I must keep it, such as payment records).
Object to how I use it.
Complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) if you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled it. Please talk to me first; I’ll put it right.
